BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentine investigators have arrested an Argentine coast guard intelligence agent suspected of burglarizing the home of a leading opposition candidate for congress.

Security camera videos released Monday show Sergio Massa’s home was robbed on July 20, allegedly by Alcides Diaz Gorgonio.

Diaz works in the security ministry’s intelligence unit under Sergio Berni, who answers to President Cristina Fernandez.

Diaz was detained hours later after local police found Massa’s pen-drives in his house. Massa said the burglar carried a gun and fired it into a security camera.

Massa used to be Fernandez’s Cabinet chief, but now seems to be her biggest threat, leading an opposition slate that could end her control of congress.
