CMG Welcome’s It’s Newest Contributor Daffney Moore

Daffney Moore is a transformative leader, relationship builder, advocate, author, and
international speaker. She is a trailblazer, one of the few Black women in the St. Louis region
that works in economic development and C-Suite. Daffney serves as a subject matter expert
and problem-solver in addressing problems dealing with urban growth, revitalization, housing,
and commercial development to tackle social and economic issues in our most vulnerable
communities. She is the Principal of Innovative Consulting GRP and Senior Director of
Economic Development for Beyond Housing. She has been an adjunct instructor at Harris-
Stowe State University for seventeen years.
Moore continuously strives to "open doors" through volunteerism and advocacy. She is an
active leader through several civic commitments and dedication to improving the quality of life
for individuals. She gives back to her community through her involvement as a member of the
COCA St. Louis Board, St. Louis Small Business Ecosystem Assessment: Advisory Council,
President of the Black Alumni Network at Murray State University, and Crisis Nursery Advisory
Board.
Ms. Moore is PH.D. Candidate at Walden University in Public Policy with a concentration on
Local Government Management for Sustainable Communities. She holds a Master of Arts in
Urban and Regional Planning from Jackson State University and a Bachelor of Science from
Murray State University in Organizational Communications. Ms. Moore is a native of East St.
Louis, Illinois.
