A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted the owner of Danny’s Big Easy Cajun restaurant for drug trafficking and weapons charges.
Paul Danny Gosserand of Kansas City, Kan., originally was indicted in December 2014. Thursday’s indictment replaces that one and adds charges. The restaurant is at 1601 E. 18th St. in the 18th & Vine Jazz District.

The latest indictment, like the original one, accuses Gosserand of conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more of powder cocaine in 2011. He now also is charged with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute and possessing firearms to further a drug scheme.
Authorities say Gosserand had a 16-gauge shotgun with no serial number and a .22-caliber rifle.
Gosserand is being prosecuted in U.S. District Court in Kansas City.
