A Republican-run House committee has voted along party lines to censure the IRS commissioner.

GOP lawmakers say John Koskinen (KAHS’-kihn-ihn) failed to provide information demanded by Congress and lied under oath during an investigation into allegations the IRS targeted tea party groups that had applied for tax-exempt status.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted 23-15 to send the matter to the full House.

But Speaker Paul Ryan hasn’t said whether he’d schedule a vote.
