Jackie Vernon-Thompson is a Certified Etiquette Consultant and CEO of From the Inside-Out School of Etiquette, LLC., which is a school that teaches children and adults proper etiquette in areas such as: Greeting and Communicating Effectively, Chivalry, Sitting and Walking Gracefully, Table Etiquette & Protocol, Increasing Self-Esteem, Maintaining personal Hygiene, Business Etiquette, Public Speaking, and so much more.

She also certifies individuals who desire to be an Etiquette Consultant and has Certified countless individuals internationally, in places such as Bangladesh, Zambia, Uganda, Jamaica, US Virgin Island, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, and throughout the United States.

Jackie also earned a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Communications. She believes the skills and techniques learned during her schooling have certainly been an asset to the successful growth of her school. Her etiquette school is located at 3801 N. University Dr. Suite 502, Sunrise, Fl 33351. There, she conducts private one-on-one and small group classes.

Her school is also a vendor for Broward and Dade County public schools and often has the privilege to teach proper etiquette to students in both counties. Since early 2019 she became the first Etiquette Instructor at a local charter high school, Academic Solutions Academy, where her weekly etiquette classes are within their curriculum and a requirement for graduation. She conducts virtual and in-person classes for individuals, businesses, institutions, and churches both domestically and internationally.

Clearly, her passion is to educate our children and adults on choosing to live a more refined and purposeful life. Jackie works closely with the local communities as she makes the effort to change the trajectory of the lives of our youth.

In March 2017, she was an honoree for the City of Lauderhill’s Third Annual Women’s History Month. In 2018 she was also recognized as A Woman of Distinction by the City of Lauderhill Kiwanis Club. In 2019 she was honored by Mayor Ken Thurston and Commissioners of the City of Lauderhill for the work done with the youth in Lauderhill and the global community. In 2019 she also became a proud member of the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce. Then, in January 2020 she was invited and elected to become a member of the board for the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce. Jackie has received multiple awards for the work she has and continues to do throughout the international community.

She strongly believes in philanthropy and has, in many cases, shared her gift of teaching etiquette and self-enhancement classes at various venues. So much so, that in 2017 Jackie established a 501c3 company called Youth Empowerment Village, Inc. for children, ages 10-17 to gather during the summer and experience an intense 5.5-week course learning Public Speaking, Professionalism, Entrepreneurship, and Proper Etiquette. They also have the opportunity to learn step by step how to establish a business and become a youth entrepreneur. Jackie has partnered with the city of Lauderhill to run the program of YEV “Creating Master Communicators” in the Lauderhill Historic Museum every summer. This program has proven to be life-changing for each student and is absolutely free! The program has been sponsored by Walmart, From the Inside- Out School of Etiquette, Ross, the city of Lauderhill, Carl’s Seafood, Mt. Olivet SDA Church, and a host of private institutions and donors.

Jackie is always eager and enthused to help each student perform at their optimum. One would ask, “What are the pros and cons of etiquette?” I would say, “There are no cons, only pros.”

She is eternally grateful to God for placing her in such a phenomenal position that demands improvement.
