Interview with St.Teresa Academy Dr. Siabhan May Washington
I welcome each and every one of you to a new beginning. We are fortified by the rich legacies of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet to guide and light our journey.

I am grateful and honored to begin serving as the 25th President of St. Teresa’s Academy. It is a blessing to be here, nestled in this beautiful campus that already feels like home! Along with the stellar faculty and staff, I am ready and excited to continue the mission of the Academy: to educate young women to think critically, encourage them through Catholic values to love the dear neighbor without distinction, and empower them to change the world. The love that we all have for St. Teresa’s is our strength.

I have been very moved and inspired by so many of your stories and connections with the school, and I look forward to hearing more! You are all central to the success of St. Teresa’s Academy. Together, we have limitless powers to ensure that our school will continue to flourish. No matter what triumphs or challenges we may face, we have faith and assurance that we can brave them together.

I am indebted to the Board of Directors, predecessor President Nan Bone, previous Presidents, current and past leaders, teachers, staff, students, parents, alumnae, and all community members, for the love, guidance, time, and talents they have given to St. Teresa’s Academy.

Be assured of this: My goal is to provide dedicated leadership and support in imparting the important mission and vision of St. Teresa’s Academy. We all play a key role in fulfilling the mission, as we aim toward future growth. As we continue to learn, work, serve, and grow, may God be with us every step of the way. As our cornerstone motto states: “With the help of God we need not fear.”

God bless you all,

Dr. Siabhan May-Washington
President
