Taylor Cline, Youth Suicide Prevention Specialist, discussed the impact of school shootings and the COVID-19 pandemic on youth mental health, how bullying affects the mental health of LGBTQ youth and how cyberbullying has changed the conversation on bullying prevention, and the differential impact of mental health challenges, including suicide, on Black and Native American youth. Taylor also highlighted some of the recent efforts of the Tri-County Mental Health Services Prevention Team to provide mental wellness, suicide, and substance use prevention resources and services to Kansas City.
