Interview with Urban Professional Stacey Knoell

Category: Blog, Urban Professional

Cascade Media Group proudly features Stacey Knoell in our Urban Professional segments. Stacey’s professional work and community involvement have given her a deep understanding of the values cherished by Kansans. Despite these shared values, she recognizes a clear disconnect between the will of the voters and the actions of the State Legislature, which she sees as a blatant undermining of voters’ explicitly expressed needs. Stacey believes that to reform the system, we must first reform the individuals within it.
In a time when many are seeking avenues to drive change, Stacey offers a clear path forward. She invites everyone to join her in building a future where the collective voices of the community shape policies, where unity forges progress, and where the values we hold dear guide the trajectory of Kansas.
Stacey Knoell serves as the Executive Director of Governor Laura Kelly’s Kansas African American Affairs Commission. Based in Topeka, her role is to bridge the gap between the community and their government. Previously, she was the Kansas Third District co-leader of the Kansas Interfaith Action organization.
Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Iowa and a degree in Deaf Communications and Interpreter Training from St. Louis Community College. Her dedication to community service and her commitment to fostering positive change make her a deserving recipient of this recognition.
